Advanced Ethical Concepts This section will cover the Four Principles Approach in Dentistry, Ethical Theories and Application in Dentistry, Dental Ethics and Professional Autonomy, Deontology vs Utilitarianism in Dentistry, and a case study on applying ethical theories in practice. 2. Consent and Capacity in Dental Practice This section will focus on defining and understanding consent, assessing patient capacity, consent in pediatric dentistry, informed consent and ethical dilemmas in complex cases, and a thought experiment on handling consent issues. 3. Confidentiality and Data Protection This section will cover the principle of confidentiality, legal and ethical obligations related to confidentiality, data protection laws and regulations, managing breaches of confidentiality, and a case study on confidentiality and data protection scenarios. 4. Ethics and Law in Dental Research This section will address the ethical conduct of dental research, legal aspects of dental research, informed consent in research, research ethics committees and review processes, and a thought experiment on ethical issues in dental research. 5.
