The section also provides insights into defensive communication and includes role-play exercises to practice these communication strategies in conflict scenarios. The course then transitions into conflict resolution techniques and models. It introduces various models and tools such as the Thomas Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument and Fisher and Ury’s BATNA concept. In addition, it reviews other conflict resolution techniques and includes an activity where participants can apply these models. Next, the course addresses managing team conflict and building consensus. It introduces the concept of nurturing a positive environment amidst disagreements, facilitating productive conflicts, and collaborative problem-solving strategies for resolving team conflicts. It also discusses strategies for building consensus within teams and includes an analysis of a real-world example.
