It also covers traits of an inclusive leader, such as self-awareness, empathy, adaptability, active listening, and communication. Further, it discusses fostering inclusivity in decision-making, overcoming biases, soliciting diverse opinions, implementing transparent processes and recognizing and celebrating diverse contributions. The course also covers building and sustaining inclusive cultures, setting the tone from the top, addressing inequities and barriers, continuous learning and growth opportunities, and creating an inclusive culture blueprint. Finally, it discusses championing inclusivity beyond the team, collaborating with external partners, leading by example in the community, encouraging others to be inclusive leaders, and engaging in public advocacy.

Section 1

Section 1 of the course focuses on understanding inclusive leadership, including its definition and principles, the distinction between traditional and inclusive leadership, and the benefits and challenges of inclusive leadership. The section also includes a case study on the transformation that can be achieved through inclusive leadership.

Section 2

Section 2 of the course covers the traits that an inclusive leader should have, such as self-awareness, empathy, adaptability, active listening, and communication. It also includes an exercise for self-assessment of leadership traits. Additionally, this section focuses on fostering inclusivity in decision making, recognizing and celebrating diverse contributions, and building and sustaining inclusive cultures, including creating an inclusive culture blueprint. Finally, it covers championing inclusivity beyond the team by collaborating with external partners, leading by example in the community, encouraging others to be inclusive leaders, and engaging in public advocacy.

Section 3

Section 3 of this course focuses on fostering inclusivity in decision making. It covers topics such as overcoming biases in decisions, soliciting diverse opinions, implementing transparent processes, recognizing and celebrating diverse contributions, and presents a case study to highlight inclusive decision making in action.
