About This Course
This course explores mental health and vulnerability in dentistry, including risk factors, communication strategies, and legal and ethical responsibilities. Case studies and role-playing activities reinforce practical application.
Why Take This Course?
The course aims to address a common problem faced by dental professionals in the UK – the management of vulnerable adults and mental health issues in dentistry. Dental professionals often encounter patients who exhibit signs of vulnerability or mental health issues, but may not have the necessary skills or knowledge to effectively manage these situations. This course provides them with the necessary information and tools to identify risk factors and indicators of vulnerability, communicate effectively with patients, and promote mental health awareness in dentistry. The use of case studies and role-playing activities helps to reinforce these concepts and facilitate practical application in real-life scenarios.
This course is beneficial as it covers a wide range of topics related to mental health and vulnerability, including legal and ethical responsibilities in dentistry, communication strategies, and dental management of vulnerable adults. The use of case studies and role-playing activities also reinforces practical application of the concepts learned.
