Course Outline

Section 1

Section 1 of this course provides an introduction to Public Policy, including an overview of the concept, the role and impact of Public Policy on healthcare, the Public Policy process, and theories and models of Public Policy. The section also includes a case study on Public Policy in action.

Section 2

Section 2 of the course covers the intersection of public policy and dentistry, exploring the impact of public policies on dental care in the UK. It also examines the challenges and opportunities in dental public policy and the role of dental nurses in shaping public policy. The section delves into policymaking institutions in the UK and their relevance to dentistry, as well as effective communication and advocacy for policy change.
