Section 1

This course focuses on developing strong interpersonal skills within a dental care setting to improve communication and build positive team dynamics. Section 1 covers the importance of interpersonal skills, effective communication features, emotional intelligence, common barriers to communication, and a case study on interpersonal skills within a dental team.

Section 2

Section 2 of the course focuses on building interpersonal connections within the dental team, enhancing communication with patients, fostering positive team dynamics, and reviewing and reinforcing interpersonal skills for team cohesion. It covers the importance of active listening, assertiveness, and respect in team communication, as well as empathy in patient interactions. It also addresses managing and resolving conflict within the team and handling change and uncertainty. The section includes role-play exercises and case studies to apply the learned skills in simulated dental practice scenarios.

Section 3

Section 3 of this course focuses on enhancing communication with patients. It covers the importance of empathy in patient interactions, verbal and non-verbal communication with patients, understanding and managing patients’ fear and anxiety, and managing difficult conversations with patients.

Section 4

Section 4 of the course covers the importance of fostering positive team dynamics in a dental care setting.
